Prepare to be Inspired! This episode features Joe Williams—a remarkable man whose life is a testament to resilience and strength, both in and out of the ring.

Joe is a proud Wiradjuri/Wolgalu, First Nations Aboriginal man who’s made Australia proud on many fronts. From his robust rugby career with teams like the South Sydney Rabbitohs to a 2x WBF World Jnr Welterweight boxing title, he’s a force to be reckoned with in the sports world. But his most challenging fight didn’t take place in a ring or on a rugby field; it was within himself.

For much of his life, Joe has been wrestling with mental health challenges, specifically suicidal ideation and Bi-Polar Disorder. The low point came in 2012 with a suicide attempt that became a catalyst for change. Rather than letting the dark times defeat him, Joe turned his life around and found a new purpose—helping people who are in the same battle he was.

Through highly customized workshops, Joe educates and inspires communities, schools, correctional services, and workplaces. He covers everything from dealing with adversities and addictions to fostering emotional well-being and healing traumas. This episode dives deep into Joe’s life story, his struggles, and how he turned them into his life’s work of helping others.
